Two groups operate on separate sides of ground, the left side deliver to the top goal, the right side to the bottom goal. Select 2 goalkicking forwards at each station (D), other players spread evenly amongst cones (A), (B) and (C).
Players on stations (A) at opposite ends of the square start with a ball each. They run and simulate a poorly delivered kick by tumbling a punt along the ground towards (B)
(A) must chase after their poor kick to provide support for (B)
(B) gathers and returns a handball on-the-up to (A) who has made front and square position.
(B) must be desperate to keep the ball in front
(A) should keep talking to (B) throughout to let them know where they are
(A) feeds a handball to wide running (C) who must time their run so they're not past (A)
This handball will be on the non-preferred hand for most players, so if uncomfortable with the distance, their player should straighten and use their preferred hand.
(A) goes to line (B), (B) to the line (C)
(C) runs, steadies and hits leading (D) with a long kick.
(D) is one of 2-3 key forwards taking turns leading from this station
If (D) marks, take a shot at goal; if the kick is gathered on the bounce, (C) should be running past in support to receive a handball and take a shot on goal.
Assistants return the ball to (C), who takes it back to station (A).
Leading forwards (D) stay at the same station.
