  • If you have 24+ players, form 2x playing areas 40-50m wide (with out-of-bounds strip 20m long) . If less than 24 players, have a single playing area, but lengthen/widen so each player has a reasonable area to cover defensively. Form teams of 5-6. Each defender (B) is accountable for an area in the zone, so defenders should spread out evenly over their territory. Attackers (A) spread across defensive side of zone (C).
  • Attackers in zone (A) move the ball amongst themselves by hand and foot. The idea is to deliver to a teammate in (B).
Unlike the diagram, no (A)'s start in zone (B).
    (A)'s run through "no-receive zone" (C), into zone (B).
(A)'s can leave at any time, however if only one player is left at home in (A), they must remain in motion (running and bouncing)
  • Defenders should protect a zone and be conscious of the short kick, as this is the easiest to execute. Attackers have 30 seconds to execute a kick.
Don't rush...a lead should be ignored if the kicker can see the kick would result in a turnover
Use either talls or smalls for height/pace advantage in these outnumbered contests
Make a number of explosive leads into space.
  • If (A)'s successfully mark a kick, they score 1 point. Reset to starting positions and (A)'s attack again.
  • Call out team (A)'s score after their 5 attempts. Swap attackers and defenders any try to beat the score.
