Mark out a grid consisting of 4 lines (A to D) that are 10m wide and 5 to 10m apart (the tighter, the harder). Assign 1 defender to each of lines (B to D), the remaining players form 2 lines behind line (A)
The two teammates at (A) start running towards line (B). The defender at (B) is only allowed to move sideways along their line to attempt to intercept the handball, or touch a player with the ball (no tackling).
The attackers use two tactics to get past:-
1. Draw the player and then handball to their teammate on the overlap
2. Feign a handball, then once the defender commits to intercepting the handball, sidestep or turn 360 degrees and run past them on the inside
If a player with the ball is touched or the ball is knocked loose, players exit the playing arena and the next pair begin.
Once successfully past the first line (B), repeat to get past lines (C) and (D).
Again, the defender is only allowed to move sideways on their line
As a variation and to add some fun, once players pass line (D), one of them steadies and has a shot on goal.
You will need to setup your playing arena so line D is around CHF
After 2 minutes, swap the defenders.
