Create a rectangle 15m wide with 3 sections each 10m long. Give 6 players opposition tops who are the defenders, 2 per section. Everyone else form equal numbers behind the 3 cones (A, B, C) at each end.
One of (A-C) starts with the ball. The three players must use handball to get the ball past the first 2 defenders in zone 1.
All defenders must remain in their 'third'
Defenders can try to intercept, or if the player tries to get around them, apply a light tackle.
If the ball is turned over in the first section, re-start and give the 3 players one more chance to get it right.
Once the players get through the first section, another attacker from cone (D) at the other end can enter the playing field. This player provides additional help and may go anywhere in sections 2 & 3.
The four attackers now attempt to get through sections 2 & 3, finishing with a handball to the next player on cone (D).
After getting through or turning it over, (A - C) join the end of cones (D - F)
(D) who joined the exercise runs up the other end to join another line.
Allow defenders a brief moment to reset, then re-start from the other end with (D-F) starting and (B) joining from the other end.
After several turns, rotate the 6 defenders.
