Choose four players, a pair at (B) and another pair at (C) who rotate after each turn, everyone else at (A). Distribute 4 balls to players at (A).
(A) begins with a short kick to stationary (B) in the pocket.
(A) runs past (B) and receives a handball, before looking further afield and kicking long to stationary (C).
(C) runs back off the mark, before delivering back to (A) who has lead across the ground.
Let players know this is a tough kick...both the correct weight and angle is required, and off just a few steps after backing off the mark. It will also determine whether the team will get a clear scoring opportunity.
(A) finishes the passage of play by gathering, steadying and kicking a goal.
It will be more difficult for left footers to straighten-up on this side, so take a couple of quick sidesteps early to head directly to goal, rather than a long, wide arc
Assistants can help by returning balls to line (A)
Once the second player has started, introduce a second ball.
Next (A) waits until (C) has kicked before setting off, to avoid collisions and confusion.
Change players at (B) after a while
(C) can have same two leading forwards throughout
Progress by reversing flow of play.
Move (B) to opposite pocket.
Right footers need to quickly straighten-up after marking on this side
