Form groups of 12 minimum. For each group, mark an 8m square with cones; in the middle of this square mark another 3m square. Two teams (A) and (B) form intersecting lanes.
Teams (A) and (B) each start with a ball. Coach blows the whistle and (A) and (B) both run toward the player at the other end of their lane.
Players (A) and (B) must handball the ball to the player down the other end before reaching their inner cone. Players must try to make their handball collide with the intersecting ball from the other lane, in other words, line (A) tries to hit (B)'s ball; (B) aims for (A)'s ball.
Players must ALSO AIM to hit the player at the other end, should they miss the intersecting ball
Players can't treadwater waiting for the other lane to handball first.
After handballing, players run hard to the opposite end.
If a handball manages to strike or even glance an intersecting ball, that team is awarded a point. Restart the exercise immediately.
Keep score after each successful attempt
Variation: Shorter the inner square slightly and repeat the drill with the non-preferred hand.
