    A warm up drill to work that gives players intense kicking, marking and run past practice.

  • 1 football and 2 cones per group of 4. Each group starts by setting their cones 20m apart, 1 pair up each end.
  • (A) starts by handballing to (B) who is running past. (B) quickly steadies and kicks to leading (C).
    (A) and (B) stay up the same end, but swap positions, so next time (B) leads and (A) runs past.
  • (C) marks, then backpedals, then handballs to the voice of (D) who runs past and receives the handball. (D) kicks to leading (A) who marks and backpedals, completing the circuit.
    (C) and (D) stay up the same end, but swap positions, so next time (D) leads and (C) runs past.
  • After 90 seconds to 2 minutes, stop and make players extend the distance to 30m. Later extend to 40m then 50m.
