  • Purpose
    Players who are tired after a strenuous effort such as a long bouncing run often dispose of the ball poorly. This drill is ideal for fitness and concentrating on disposal when tired.

  • 2 groups start 30m apart with a set of cones in the middle 5m apart
  • (A) starts with the ball and must sprint with the ball to cone (1), at the same time (B) sprints to cone (2)
  • (A) handballs to (B) when (B) has reached cone (2)
    (A) must control the handball, remembering his momentum will affect the ball's velocity
  • (B) handballs to (C) when (C) has reached cone (1)
  • (C) handballs to (D) when (D) has reached cone (2), and so on.
  • Extend the length of the running from 30m to 50m to 70m
