  • Form two teams, assign each a particular starting side of the ground, each team has a ball.
  • Teams spread out on their half of the ground, one player is designated to kick-in.
  • The coach starts the race with a 'go' or whistle, both fullbacks kick-in from the goalsquare. Each team must legally move the ball the length of the field by foot and hand.
Look for taller players with kicks, smaller players must make front and square position
  • Each team must touch the ball on the goal line at the other end of the ground.
  • Each team then return the ball the length of the field until a player is within range and kicks a goal on the run.
  • The team who is first to score a goal wins the round
Optionally, keep score and play a series
Optionally, switch starting sides of the ground on occasion
  • Optionally for U/14 and above, hand out between 1-3 opposition strips to players on each side. These players try to force a turnover by applying pressure to opposition players.
If a scrimmage forms, quickly break it up by awarding possession to the attacking team.
