    Opp Strip

  • One third of players will be given a defender's strip and start in the middle of 3 lanes that start about 50m apart for seniors, with cones [A-B-C] only a few metres apart.
  • (A) starts with the ball and chooses which is the best leading target of (A & C) down the other end.
(B & C) also run with kicker (A), even though they take no part other than voice by (C)
  • At the other end, (B) must choose a defender to cover
Look at the direction the kicker is running, and know their preferred foot
Don't commit too early or you'll make it easy for the attackers.
  • Kicker (A) steadies before hitting the best option with a kick.
The three players in the kicking group clear out quickly and rejoin the lines at the other end
Defenders run through and stay in line (B), opposite end - they'll rotate later
  • Same thing happens from the other end, however now (A or C) may be the kicker depending on who received the previous kick.
Everyone must play-on immediately after marking.
  • Rotate the defenders after 2 minutes and continue.
  • Progression: Lengthen the kicks and allow (B) to tackle the kicker.
Allow handball between (A & C) if they kicker is under too much pressure.
