Create a number of 'cricket pitches' in a row, 5m wide and 15-20m long. 2 players per pitch, one at each end.
(A) starts and can take a few steps before kicking the ball down the pitch. The idea is to 'bowl' the player at the other end by making the ball tumble irregularly, making it difficult to control.
A wicket is taken if:-
The ball goes past the player and between the cones
In trapping the ball, the player must take more than 1 step to pick it up after touching it.
A 'no ball' is called if:-
The ball goes off the pitch
The ball goes over the players head
Keep score of wickets (call out regularly to remember). After several minutes stop the drill and take stock of the score. The player who has taken the most wickets moves 1 lane to the right towards the 'champion' end. The players losing move 1 lane left.
Players may need to change ends after moving.
The exception to the players who move are the winner of the champion lane, and the loser of the bottom lane who stay where they are.
If the score is equal, play a tie breaker by each player kicking once. The ball landing closest and most central to the 'goal-line' progresses.
