8 Station Multi-skills
  • Purpose
    A good first drill after shortball warmups, or to sharpen skills on a lighter night, this drill practices a mix of handball,crumbing, run-past and kicking skills.

  • Players distribute evenly amongst cones (A to H). If numbers 30+, mirror the drill up the other end to avoid inactivity. 1 ball maximum per end to avoid collisions
  • (A) leads out and handballs across the face of goals to (B)
  • (B) runs and kicks to (C) who stays on the cone.
  • (C) spoils the ball down into the path of (D), who crumbs and cuts across the ground before handballing to supporting (E)
  • (E) kicks to (F) who marks then plays-on immediately before kicking to (G) on the cone.
    (H) also leads out with (F), then sprints upfield once (F) gains possession
  • (G) handballs to (H) who is bursting through. (H) then steadies and kicks to leading (A), who backpedals before handballing to (B), restarting the loop.
